Blended learning represents a progressive approach that combines the benefits of traditional classroom instruction with information and communication technology (ICT) enhanced learning, which encompasses both offline and online modes. It allows for collaborative, constructive, and computer-aided learning experiences. Successfully implementing blended learning requires dedicated effort, a positive mindset, sufficient funding, and highly motivated educators and learners. Due to its varied formats, the implementation of blended learning can be intricate, making organization a challenging endeavor. This paper explores the notion of blended learning, highlighting its key characteristics and the requirements necessary for its execution. Additionally, it examines the potential of blended learning within the context of the Indian educational system and emphasizes the need for its adoption as a viable educational strategy.
