The paper titled ROLE OF MASS MEDIA IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT LEADING TO AN OUTCOME IN INDIA shall find out the decisive contribution of the mainstream Indian media towards fulfilling the goals of sustainable development. As a part of the research, we will study the usefulness of sustainable development by taking the impact of climate change in India and how effective prevention through climate action as a SDG by the UN can help in reducing the impact created by it, with media acting as a catalyst in making the process much easier and faster by generating awareness and knowledge The question that the research paper aims to address and answer is how various forms of media, like newspapers, radio, and TV, are propagating the values of sustainability and climate action and whether the mass media are prioritising such content for mass dissemination or not. To consolidate the findings and studies done by previous researchers, the paper would consist of a detailed review of literature where we will try to understand the data and solve the problem of our research. Furthermore, we will be conducting a data analysis through qualitative means where a sample population will be chosen and interviewed in order to extract, understand, and analyse their opinions and suggestions as to whether the media is proving itself to be a reckoning force in building a narrative about climate action and how remedial steps can be taken by the governments at all levels and the citizens in achieving the goals of SDG 2030 in India.
