The Bodo people are an indigenous to the north-east region, particularly of Assam in India. They represent a rich tapestry of tradition, beliefs and practices that have evolve over centuries. Cultural evolution of the Bodos is not only a matter of academic interest but also hold significant implications for cultural preservation, identity politics, and sustainable development in the region. The Bodos have a unique history that has shaped their cultural evolution, from their ancient roots as a prominent tribe in the region to their struggles for autonomy and recognition in modern times. Their traditional practices, such as agriculture, weaving, customs, rites and rituals and music, have been passed down through generations, maintaining a strong sense of community and identity. In the face of ongoing challenges such as urbanization, globalization, and climate change, the preservation of Bodo culture is crucial for ensuring the well-being and prosperity of future generations in the region.
