This paper presents the design and verification of a pipelined Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) system with a focus on optimizing both area and delay for efficient implementation in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications. The proposed architecture adopts a pipelined structure to improve throughput and minimize processing time, while employing optimization techniques to reduce area and resource consumption. By carefully balancing the trade-off between computational complexity and hardware resources, the design ensures minimal delay without compromising the performance.
The FFT system is designed using System Verilog, and its functionality is verified through simulation in Model Sim. The system is synthesized and implemented on a Xilinx Spartan-3 FPGA, demonstrating a significant reduction in area and delay compared to traditional FFT implementations. The results validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in optimizing pipelined FFT systems for real-time DSP applications, ensuring enhanced performance and resource efficiency.
