Blockchain tech has made a disruptive change to the market for decentralized space storage by creating a secure, inexpensive, and transparent means by which storage capacity can be bought and sold within community members around the world. In this paper, review the current state-of-the-art blockchain-based storage protocols according to the scheme used, the applications, and some elementary problems e.g., scalability, security, and data management. In particular, we review existing paradigm and method, indicating problems and solutions. Finally, we note what future research directions are needed for pushing decentralized storage markets to the next level.
