Abstract

This project is all about creating an Automated Essay Scoring system. With Natural Language Processing tools like tokenization and Word2Vec, the system checks essays for grammar, vocabulary, coherence, and relevance. We created a web app with Flask. Students can upload their essays and get feedback right away. We use an LSTM model to figure out how the essays are structured. To see how well the system works, we checked the predicted essay scores from different machine learning models using the Mean Squared Error. In the future, we may add support for more languages and connect it to larger academic systems.
