Abstract

The integration of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology in micro-grids presents a transformative approach to energy management by leveraging electric vehicles (EVs) as dynamic energy storage units. This paper explores the implementation of V2G in a DC fast charging architecture, optimizing bidirectional power flow between EVs and the grid to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. The study examines the impact of V2G on load balancing, peak shaving, and grid stability, with a focus on minimizing power losses and improving energy utilization. Additionally, the role of smart grid communication, power electronics, and control strategies is analyzed to ensure seamless operation between the EVs, micro-grid, and renewable energy sources. Through simulation and real-world case studies, this research highlights the economic and environmental benefits of V2G-enabled DC fast charging infrastructure.
