IMPACT OF KVK’S ON AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT IN TELANGANA STATE
Abstract
More than six decades dream of Telangana people and they fought for independent state, finally the people of Telangana they can achieve their goal and objectives. Telangana state was a young and newly formed on the 2nd of June, 2014. Krishi Vigyan Kendras, which have contributed significantly as centers for promoting Agriculture production, especially their Skill and Knowledge development programmes in Rural area Development in India. India is the second-largest silk producer globally, following China. Besides, it is the largest consumer of silk in the world. Above 90 percent of farmers practices mono cropping method like Paddy cultivation sample area and Telangana after intervention of KVKs few farmers change their cropping methods KVKs help to Mulberry, paddy Cultivation along with other crops in study areas, the result is mulberry cultivation farmers get more income than paddy cultivation farmers in the sample areas, Paddy farmer get per crop net Income Rs.9665, but mulberry farmers get net income of one crop (1 unit = 2 acres) Rs.91875, Rs.45937 net income gets from cultivation of mulberry per acre in sample area
