In today’s rapidly evolving software development landscape, a proactive security approach is essential because traditional methods can no longer keep up with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). DevSecOps, also known as Security-First DevOps, addresses this challenge by embedding security into every phase of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This study explores continuous security monitoring in DevSecOps, focusing on automation tools, vulnerability analysis, and compliance enforcement. Key strategies like shift-left security, zero-trust models, and real-time threat mitigation enhance both security visibility and operational efficiency. By integrating automated response mechanisms, dynamic scanning, and Static Application Security Testing (SAST), organizations can strengthen their cybersecurity posture proactively. The findings highlight the critical role of DevSecOps in modern IT operations, ensuring the delivery of robust, secure, and high-quality software.
