The global demand for sustainable and environmentally responsible construction practices has led to the innovation and adoption of alternative construction materials, particularly in residential civil infrastructure. This paper explores the recent advances in green building materials such as geopolymer concrete, fly ash bricks, hempcrete, bamboo, recycled plastic, and 3D-printed materials. Emphasis is placed on performance, cost-effectiveness, environmental impact, and regulatory compliance. The study concludes with a discussion on the challenges and future prospects of integrating these materials into mainstream construction.
