Abstract

In real life it is seen that when ordered quantity arrives in the inventory, it requires some process like packaging, labelling or assembling. Therefore, this service takes some time and it increases the holding cost if service cost is negligible. But that service must be complete before customers arrive to the shop. Our model provides the condition on quantities so that the minimum cost can be obtained and if we can reduce the service time by increasing service by increasing persons or facilities, the total cost goes near to cost of classical EOQ model.
