Postmenopausal osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disease caused by estrogen deficiency, affecting patients' quality of life. This metabolic bone disorder results in low bone mass and deterioration of bone tissue. The most common osteoporotic fractures are those in the proximal femur, vertebrae, and distal radius. Fractures affect up to 50% of women over 50, becoming a major public health issue due to the aging population. Estrogen deficiency increases bone turnover, affecting all types of bone cells. Postmenopausal osteoporosis management requires new approaches. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry is the most reliable method for diagnosing osteoporosis, and the Fracture Risk Assessment Tool (FRAX) evaluates fracture risk. The primary goal of osteoporosis diagnosis is to explain the ailment's etiology, biomarker roles, and treatment response. Conventional therapeutics like bisphosphonates, denosumab, estrogen replacement, and teriparatide are widely used.
