The global shift towards sustainable energy sources has led to an increased reliance on solar and wind
power, harnessing the Sun's inexhaustible energy for electricity generation. Photovoltaic solar cells, utilizing the
photovoltaic effect, have emerged as a pivotal technology in this transition, converting sunlight into clean and
limitless electricity. The work explores the significance of solar energy, its environmental benefits, and the
growing competitiveness of renewable energy sources compared to conventional methods. The second section
delves into a novel project focusing on the design, fabrication, and automation of a solar panel cleaner.
Recognizing the detrimental impact of dust accumulation on solar panels, the project employs a limit switch for
an automatic cleaning mechanism. The system initiates with an initialization phase, positioning at the top of the
solar panel. As it moves along a track filled with water, wiper blades, driven by motors, activate to physically
remove dust and debris. This innovative approach aims to enhance solar panel efficiency by reducing maintenance
costs associated with manual cleaning and contributes to a more sustainable energy production process. In
summary, the project addresses the critical issue of dust accumulation on solar panels, providing an automated
solution that not only maximizes energy efficiency but also minimizes environmental impact.
