Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks consisting of a collection of mobile nodes. These mobile nodes have no fixed infrastructure, topology is dynamic and unpredictable. In mobile ad hoc networks nodes have limited energy. Existing algorithms are not aware about energy efficiency. Nodes have limited battery. If the battery power deplete, then the node dies out. Designing energy aware routing algorithm is very crucial issue for mobile ad hoc network. The goal is to minimize the energy consumption and reduces the overhead in the routing process. We have surveyed many existing energy efficient methods for mobile ad hoc networks.
