Abstract

One of the most common outcomes in deep drawing process is the defects that occur in the cup shell. These defects are caused by many parameters like blank holder force (BHF), Die Radius, Punch Radius, Blank diameter, friction between punch and blank and Die, normal anisotropy of material, blank thickness and many more. The main objectives of the present study are to determine the most critical process parameters that cause defects and thinning in the blanks. The effect of various process parameters will be determined by using Statistical as well as Experimental methods.
